TELEVISION TUESDAY.

So, what were people up to before they were famous? This week for Television Tuesday, we get the treat of seeing a short that Jay Leno made when he was still a vagabond comic, long before his stint as a guest host (and ultimately regular host) of the Tonight Show:

The show was a mix of music videos (by both himself and others) mixed in with comedy sketches, commercial parodies, and general silliness. It was hosted by Nesmith himself, who also participated in many of the sketches. Television Parts also featured guest appearances by a number of comedians, including Martin Mull, Whoopi Goldberg, Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Martin, The Funny Boys and Garry Shandling, whose appearance on the show was the seed for It's Garry Shandling’s Show. Michael Nesmith produced humorous skits, songs and commercial parodies in this video.

I like The Office. You know, the Americanized version of the British show that has turned into a big hit for NBC. Funny thing though is that TV programs get ‘ported’ to the audience they’re being broadcast to.
